If you test this cable switch manually with a multimeter while it is not fitted to the bike, it may appear non-functional. We have received several returns in error for this exact reason. The cables require substantial tension to trigger the switch, so it must be tested or used while properly installed on the bike. It is also very difficult to hold a multimeter and test these cables single-handedly.
